About This Station
The station is powered by a Davis Vantage Pro2 weather station modified with an R. M. Young Wind Monitor Jr wind set. The data is collected every 10 seconds and the site is updated every 10 minutes. This site and its data is collected using Meteobridge Software. Special tables and calculated chart data are generated by Meteohub running on a Raspberry Pi. The station is comprised of an anemometer, a rain gauge and a thermo-hydro sensor situated in optimal positions for highest accuracy possible.
The station is also equipped with Solar and UV Sensors.
SunriseSideWeather.com is a participating station in the Blitzortung Lightning Detection Network. See the Lightning tab for current data. Stations #706 and #1682 are sited here. These stations, originally sited in Livonia, Michigan were the first Blitzortung stations located in the state.
